Hello

HOA is currently assembling teams for our summer program. The players are predominately from across Atlantic Canada and we travel to a Resort in the White Mountains of New England. The program challenges the players as individuals and as a team to properly prepare themselves to play in some of the premier tournaments of the summer. The teams we play can come from across the US and Canada.

HOA offers a completely different experience where players challenge themselves against teams they would otherwise never get to play against. This truly brings an International feeling for the players and an intensity and pride in their preparation and to every game. HOA offers this experience not only to AAA level players but also to AA and A. This year we have added a recreational division for B,C and House league players. These are scouted tournaments for the older groups including Prep School, Junior A and B as well as Major Jr. and NCAA D1 and D3. Scouts in Atlantic Canada are well aware of players predominately beginning at the Bantam level. As a hockey player always look to open more doors never close any. The week is also a growing experience for many players. They quickly become totally focused on representing themselves their teammates and where they come from to the best of their abilities. It is a special week full of memories and new friends.

The team’s preparation includes practices at the Resort with on ice 2 1/2 hrs a day and intense off ice training relative to their age. We provide top end hockey instruction sessions combining skill development and team preparation.

HOA Hockey provides the top coaches to work with our players.

The Busses will start from Halifax or a designated Maritime location picking up players at various set locations and times on our way to a resort in the White Mountains of New England. Arrival is approximately 10pm depending on US Customs and traffic.

TUESDAY
The morning consists of an 1 1/2hr practice and an off ice condition program the intensity is set relative to the players ages. Teams will then take an hour to leave the valley to go grocery shopping. The rooms at the resort are in fact condominium apartments that sleep 6 players with full kitchens and the older players can make their own meals saving them the additional costs of buying meals while at the resort. Bantam players have staff members in their room and they assist them with meals. The players are given down time in the afternoon to enjoy all the benefits of the resort. After supper they are back on the ice for another hour of practice time. Players have a curfew everynight depending on age. Coaches and staff monitor the players.
Approx. player contribution for food is$25 each if their tournament is in Boston and $40 each if their tournament is at the Resort.
For those travelling to Boston an all you can eat breakfast is supplied on Sat and Sun for the players at no charge.
